| My version of the ad. |
When mimicking the ad that everyone was told to mimic, I first began by creating six identical sized rectangles and placing them next to each other from top to bottom with a white banner covering about a quarter of the poster. Next came the words and placing them in their respected rectangles. I switched up multiple times regarding the colors I wanted to use, but I settled on the contrasting colors red and blue. I chose the typeface Tek Tall Arabic since it seemed to resemble the original ad the closest. The sizing of the text was important as well to make sure the image is proportional throughout. I filled in the white banner on the bottom following the same process as the top colored section of text. To represent the celebrities in the original ad I used peoples' headshots. A useful feature "called background remover" helped make them fit in the image better. A transparent image of the Stand Up To Cancer Logo was copy and pasted from google images to closer represent the original ad.
