Today, in class, we watched a video on several techniques to use in Canva. These
span key shortcuts, Image and text effects, creating frames for pictures. We
then used this information to mimic an ad within an appropriate publication. I
chose one from Omaha Steaks. The first thing I did to design the inspired ad was
to use the poster preset and to look for the right picture to use as a
background. Next, I added in three text boxes and typed in the words from the
ad, while trying to match the font from it. I ended up using Agrandir Thin for
the first line and then Agrandir for the next two lines. Following that I
adjusted the transparency of the background to make sure the text was legible. Finally, I then made sure that my text was perfectly aligned and added lines to Your and More to try to match the effect of the ad.
