| The Ad I designed |
Today in class, we discussed how hierarchy is used in graphic design to pronounce and emphasize certain words, or images in an advertisement. This topic spanned alignment, text weight, color, and size. Following a few video lessons on the subject, we were tasked with replicating a Cancer Ad Campaign. As opposed to yesterday's assignment we all had to do the same thing. We couldn't use the same colors on the ad (orange and red) and we had to find pictures of people from Canva to use in lieu of actual celebrities. I decided on the colors blue and yellow as they contrast very clearly with one being lighter and the other being darker. It also prevented the campaign from looking too American (Albeit it does look a tad too Swedish as a result). I decided to add more variety and comedy to my poster by adding two dogs in place of people.
